There’s no such thing as a “Jr. Holy Spirit!” Our children’s ministry isn’t just childcare—it’s a place where kids can grow in their faith, build friendships, and discover their own personal relationship with God. We welcome children aged 9 months up to 5th grade, providing a fun, safe, and engaging environment tailored to each age group. Nursery is available during our first two services at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.

What services does TFH Oakland Kids offer?

TFH Oakland Kids is offered Sundays at 9AM, 10:30AM & 12:15PM

What about Check-In?

You’ll find our team ready to greet you at check in! Check in begins 15 minutes before each service and check out lasts for 15 minutes following service end.

What is your security policy?

Our TFH Oakland Kids area is a completely secured space. Upon checking in your child, you will receive a parent/guardian tag that permits you to enter the kids area. This tag includes a unique code, randomly assigned to you at check in for that particular day. Only the parent/guardian who drops your child off AND has this pickup tag, is permitted to pick up the child. IF the parent or guardian chooses to hand this pickup tag to someone else, they will be permitted to pick up the child, so long as the secure code on the child’s name tag and parent/guardian pickup tag match.

My child is nervous, can I stay in the classroom?

Because our TFH Oakland Kids area is a secure area, only our background checked team members are permitted in the classrooms. We have an experienced team and many leaders who are capable of making sure each child is well cared for. If your child needs your attention, we will contact you via text message.

How will you get hold of me if my child needs me?

You will receive a text message to the number you provide at check in. If you do not respond to the text within 5 minutes, the code on your parent tag will appear on the screen.

Are your servant leaders background checked?

Yes. Regardless of the role they play, every adult who serves in our TFH Oakland Kids area has passed a background check. We prohibit any adult from being alone with a child.

What do I need to drop off with my child?

You’re welcome to leave anything your child might need during this time. Elementary kids are encouraged to bring a bible and journal. We provide a nut-free, allergy sensitive snack in each class.

What if my child has nut allergies?

TFH Oakland Kids IS A PEANUT FREE AREA. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY PEANUT PRODUCTS INTO THIS AREA. If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know at check in. This information is printed on their name tag to ensure your child’s safety upon snack time.

What is your sick-kid policy?

Please don’t check in kids if:

They are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms
They have had a fever above 99° (without medicine) within the last 24 hours.
They have had diarrhea within the last 24 hours.
They have vomited within the last 24 hours.
They have green discharge from their nose.
They have pink eye.
They have a persistent, deep-sounding cough.
They have Strep Throat (the child should have started antibiotics more than 24 hours before attending).
They have a contagious disease (flu, measles, rubella, mumps, whooping cough, meningitis).
They have any open and/or weeping sores or wounds.
They have any unexplained and/or contagious rash (chicken pox, boils, ringworm, Hand Foot Mouth, impetigo).
They have lice or scabies.
